Post 31: Changed college plans— now want to do a science and animation double major

Another major impact of this independent study has been my change from wanting to apply to animation programs as my major. I am now looking at college programs where I can double major in animation and biology, and particularly marine and microbiology. I think that I want to work both on traditional animation films, but also do a lot of animations specifically to communicate scientific research and data. I also think that a background in science would be very helpful in doing animation films with more impressive natural worldbuilding. Spending more time in marine and natural environments also seems very helpful for finding inspiration– like the Blaschkas did.
